MAZZAROSA MONTEPULCIANO D’ABRUZZO DOC






Production site: Località Casal Thaulero, Roseto degli Abruzzi – Teramo.

Vine variety: Montepulciano D’Abruzzo.

Sun exposure: South, south-west.

Soil position: hills of 100 metres a.s.l.

Growing system: spurred cordon.

Soil type: Clayey of medium texture (red clay), well exposed.

Periodo of grapeharvest: Second and third weeks of October.

Bottling: April two years after the harvest, after ageing in barrel, fining in bottle for four months.

Color: Intense red rubin, tending to purple.

Smell: intense fruity, rich and with a small spicy note.

Taste: warm, soft, fairly fresh, sapid, tannic and balanced by the softness.

Food matching: Vegetable soup, fresh pastas with meat sauces, red meat, pork, lamb and very aged cheeses.

Alcohol volume: 13,5%.
